Account Deletion & Data Handling

We respect your right to control your data. This document explains how account deletion works, what data is removed, and what limited information we may retain to comply with legal and security requirements.

1. Requesting Account Deletion

You can request deletion of your MODNCV account at any time.

How to request deletion:

  • 1.Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account
  • 2.Confirm your identity (password or OTP)
  • 3.Select a reason for deletion
  • 4.Confirm your request

Once confirmed, your account enters a short processing window before permanent deletion.

2. Before You Delete Your Account

Please note:

Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

You will lose access to:

  • ❌Your resumes and documents
  • ❌AI-generated content
  • ❌Job matcher data
  • ❌Saved drafts and templates
  • ❌Subscriptions and benefits

You will be logged out of all devices once deletion is completed.

3. Why We Ask for a Deletion Reason

We ask you to select a reason for deletion to help us improve MODNCV.

Common options include:

  • •I found a job
  • •Not satisfied with the service
  • •Pricing concerns
  • •Technical issues
  • •Privacy concerns
  • •Not useful for my career stage
  • •Other

This feedback is optional, anonymous, and used only in aggregated form.

4. What Data Is Deleted

After your request is completed, the following data is permanently deleted from MODNCV systems:

  • ✔Your profile information (name, email, phone number)
  • ✔Login credentials and authentication data
  • ✔Uploaded resumes and documents
  • ✔Resume analysis and AI-generated content
  • ✔Cover letters and job matcher inputs
  • ✔Saved preferences and settings
  • ✔Activity history linked to your identity

This data is removed from active systems and scheduled for removal from backups within standard industry timelines.

5. What Data We Retain (And Why)

To protect the platform and comply with legal requirements, MODNCV retains very limited, non-identifiable information after account deletion.

What we retain:

  • •A securely hashed version of your email (not readable or reversible)
  • •Deletion timestamp
  • •Whether onboarding benefits were already used

Why we retain it:

  • •To prevent misuse or repeated abuse of free credits
  • •To maintain audit and security integrity
  • •To comply with regulatory obligations

Important:

  • • We do not store your actual email, name, or phone number
  • • Retained data cannot identify you personally
  • • Retained data is never used for marketing

This information is automatically deleted after a defined retention period.

7. After Your Account Is Deleted

Once deletion is complete:

  • •Your account cannot be recovered
  • •You will no longer receive emails from MODNCV
  • •You may sign up again in the future as a new user
  • •Previously used bonuses or credits will not be restored

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

When requesting deletion, you will be asked to confirm:
